I think it is more of a postponement than a duck, there is still talk of it happening early next year. About a month isn't long to prepare for a fight against a top 10 heavyweight. A boxer usually has longer than that.
Yes, but Boytsov already fought twice this year, and was supposed to fight Airich THIS SATURDAY, so it is inconceivable that he's really not in top shape. Also note that he pulled out of the Airich fight just a week or two ago, sighting a nasal infection. Boytsov should realize how incredibly bad this makes him look. He should have taken the fight, no matter what. If he won (likely) then fine, if he lost, e could blame it on not enough time to train. - But if they fight next Spring, assuming Fury doesn't decide to move on (which is likely) and Boytsov loses THEN, his career is over. This cancellation was incredibly foolish.
what a ducker.he knows there is a good chance he could get beat thats why he has pulled out.its like povetkin with the klits.
I was kindof hoping Tyson would come across the pond and fight Lawrence in Louisville. Need to see Lawrence put away. Tired of seeing him on the ratings, while guys like Jennings, Scott, Mago, Szpilka and even Wilder are not ascending up the ladder.:-(
Yeah, I heard his name awhile back and he is still doing nothing today. I think he is taking the Povetkin route to the title match.
Former fan of Boytsov checking in. I've given up all hope on this guy. Whatever it may be (injuries, lack of confidence, bad management, poor training habits, or a combination), his talent and potential is being completely wasted. He's very gifted physically in terms of speed, power, and technique, but I just don't know anymore. I was predicting a coming-out party KO win over Fury and I'd still stand by that, but I also noted that I didn't expect the fight to happen. At this point, I'm not expecting much out of him at all. Both he and Povetkin have been so disappointing and underwhelming (Boytsov more so due to him continuing to face the journeymen and unranked veterans of the world).
I just would like two somebodies to fight each other already. This constant ducking is getting tiresome. And we as boxing fans should not verbally **** every guy who has a loss on his back for taking on a big challenge....
