Pay closer attention to the sport you nunce. Universum filed bankruptcy last year and some other rich kraut bought it from Kohl. This old herr hasn''t even approved this pathetic bout and went on record to say that if boytsov didn't fight on his shows exclusively then his ass would sit until 2016. Some greedy old ***** ruined a very talented young mans boxing career. Had boytsov signed with Sauerland in '04 he'd be fighting wlad next.
I heard on ESB that he's looking for an American trainer. He can get a interpreter. Rooney might take the job! Wouldn't that be cool?
31(25)-0 vs 16-4 is not a good fight. Sanctioned assault. He's making less than average citizen until he does.
Let's see if Boytsov fights a live body after this. This is a tune-up after injury, if he wins will he take another 18 month break? Or get real about his career for once? Helenius, Charr, Dimitrenko, Fury, heck even Chisora would all be good.
Again, I've given up on Boytsov, but I mostly don't blame him. It's the damned sport itself, and all the politics and corruption. So many great fighters never even get a chance. Besides being injury-prone, Boytsov has probably been massively frustrated by his lousy opposition. You think guys like him (or Price, or Wilder) WANT to be fighting nobodies? - And then, when a fighter knows his next bout will be easy, plus he's getting paid ****, and training cost a lot of money, he may tend to not train seriously, and maybe even have a "don't give a ****" attitude in the ring. (Or you clown around & showboat, like Wilder.) So I do NOT blame Boytsov. ---------------------- - But I still have no hope for his future. The people that own him will never let him out of their tiny little world, where they can control things.
So long as Boystov keeps his mouth shut about being a Klit killer, or beating anyone in the world, it doesnt bother me he's progressing slowly due to promotional/injury problems. It's when guys like Wilder start running off at the mouth when theyve fought bums I become a hater. Look at Malik Scott. He sat for almost 4 yrs, but he didnt run off at the mouth either. He just trained and sparred the top guys and bided his time until he came back, and he's come back very strong imo. Denis is what, 26/27. Still very young for a HW. Hopefully he can begin fighting top 50s again, like he did v Guinn, and begin progressing again. Take a page from the Scott book.:think
