Denis Boytsov back in August. Live Opponent?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by KINGOFTHE1ROUND, May 29, 2012.

  1. So this ****ing guy has been fighting d and c level guys for about 8 years now. Is he finally ready to fight a guy who is actually half decent?
His last fight was a boring points win over a bum named Guinn.
At this point I just want no heart Boytsov to get exposed like fellow Euro bum Dimitrenko. Perhaps Pulev can whack Boytsov as well?

Based on what? He's even more unproven than Bute.

Nobody has ever stopped Guinn so he's maybe C class but hardly a bum.

Boystov vs Pulev for the Bulgarian's European title would be a good scrap

Uh, while no world beater, Guinn has wins over Michael Grant and Audley Harrison. Hardly a "bum."

For the record, Boytsov also has wins over Bidenko and Pala, who are of similar level.

I would love to see the guy step it up too, but he is not totally unproven.

This is now the time for him to start making his run. Vitali is 40 and Wlad is 36, I don't think either of them want to fight for too many more years. When they retire, this is going to be a truly wide-open division. Boytsov is 26, he needs to step it up a little bit and then be ready to face Wladimir in either 2 years or take over when he has stepped aside. The guy has talent and he is in the perfect position to be next in line.
