I think Boytsov would send Mitchell into retirement.

Both men's main weakness is lack of speed, followed closely by questionable defense. So, the better puncher wins, and Boytsov has 1-punch KO power in both hands. Mitchell? Fawgeddaboudit.

There's no reason to believe that Boytsov hits harder than Mitchell. If anything, Mitchell probably has more pop. As for speed, most would agree that Mitchell is easily faster than Boytsov.

The only advantage Boytsov enjoys here is experience. Boytsov has been boxing for far longer than Mitchell, and it shows in their different levels of poise and ring generalship.

Still, I kind of lean toward Mitchell here, assuming he doesn't get coldcocked early and that he doesn't punch himself out. Boytsov stands straight up, is squared, and he might be vulnerable to Mitchell's jab. From there, Mitchell could unload his devastating body attack.

    Just my two cents.

2013 must be the year of Boytsov's statement as a serious contender.

I normally agree with almost everything you write, but this time I must question your "YDKSAB" quotient.

Have you actually seen many Boytsov fights? If not, I highly suggest you get to it. He has ridiculous power in both hands.

Mitchell is severely over-hyped. He hits hard, but he needs a flurry in order to finish an opponent. Boytsov only needs one punch.

Of course, neither one of these guys will ever make it to the top, unless 3-4 other current prospects get hit by lightning.

Be nice to see him go against Dimitrenko. Atleast that's practical. I think if he fights Chagaev, i truly believe chag still has enough in him to outbox the russian.

His best win is against Taras Bidenko. He's too small to compete with the Klitschko's but I agree that Ruslan Chagev will be a good next opponent.

No it's never been about size. Brewster is only an inch taller. The thing that holds Boytsov back his his lack of skill.

Boytsov is more bad than the version of Brewster Wladimir destroys in 2007.
