Chagaev is obviously the best opponent for Boystov but I'd be surprised if that one comes off. Airich just fought last week so I'd guess Baktov would be the opponent if it were between these three.

Chagaev is still a top 10-12 fighter and would be the best opponent Boystov has faced but I don't know if Bahktov or Airich would be much of a step up from guys like Bidenko and Guinn. Maybe, but I see them all on a similar level.

I agree that Boystov needs to fight a top ten guy at this point and he seems like yesterdays news. He's still only 26 and this is his 5th fight in a year so its not all bad but its past time to face another contender.

You know, I figured he was way older than 26. And I didnt know he's fought 4 times in the last 11 months.:think

OK, I see. This will be his 4th fight in 13 months. Yeah not bad. And even if it's Airrich or Bahtov, it's still 3 solid journeymen inside a year. Not bad, but not moving him forward either.

Im still hoping to see him vs another solid fringe contender. He, like Scott, Rodriguez, Welliver, and Arreola all do so ****ing well against Clevel guys, but none of em can seem to get into those Blevel fights with guys doing similarly on that level.

I'd love to see Boystov fight one of those above mentioned journeymen beaters and see which is the real deal.:think

He's being active and has age on his side so I guess there's no need to write him off at this point. He's had hand problems and he's unhappy with his promoter so that doesn't help either.

I suspect he'll step us soon and face a top 10-15 guy, I don't think it will be his next fight though since its less than a month away. I'd really like to see him face someone like Povetkin, Mitchell, or Adamek but those aren't happening anytime soon if ever.

Chagaev has an offer from Fury on the table and it probably is good money.

I highly doubt Boytsov's team can best that offer.

Ortiz, Gerber, Pianeta, Takam, T. Thompson, Perez, Grano, F. Lawrence, KJ, JC Gomez all make sense. Liakovich, Mormeck, Toney and Holyfield would bring public exposure, which is nice for him.

Bahktov and Airich are the same as Guinn, who he just fought, a decent level but no improvement at all.
