    Probably his fight against Veit,decebal!

The better the opposition the better Inkin's performance.
He is the kind of boxer who takes advantage of his foes' weak spots effectively outboxing them trying to save as much energy as possible.
He isnt the kind of fighter who goes after his foe trying to knock him out.He quite often is content with winning a point decision. He for sure isnt the most spectacular boxer out there.
He can punch, but is no banger. His counterboxing style makes him a tough nut to crack for any top supermiddle.
According to Froch both he and Inkin fought at the amateurs.Froch lost on points, but was able to score a flash knockdown against Inkin.

So, Odo, is Inkin not very ambitious? Is he too laid back? Why is he not very eager to impress?

He just need the motivation of a competative fight and decent money...elsewise he just tries to box his way to a win, regardless of how it looks...

maybe it is his character or maybe because he fights on small hall shows or undercards and never as a main attraction.

you would also have to say that inkin has possibly gone stale as his backers have simply not been prepared to invest in him to give him many meaningfull fights and instead have given him passing time fights after passing time fights.

very hard to get up for these and put in the training and motivation i would guess.

He is bound to his management/promotion and those might paying him off well enough - first it's always about the money, then maybe lagacy. So he might be satisfied for the moment. But now that he learned he will fight Froch in an eliminator a new hunger might arise out of him...

Well, we all know, and so does he, this is his best and last chance at the big time...Froch will be very motivated for this fight because he is in the same boat. Moreover, he has been crying out how good he is from the rooftops, so the pressure is on him in many ways...but if Inkin doesn't fight the fight of his life in Spring...he will go back to fighting in small-hall shows for the rest of his life...right, sean?

    you are right.
as i see it this will be inkin one and only chance.

veit got 2 chances but after that he was thrown to the wolves so to speak.
inklin i feel will only get one chance and this fight with froch is it.

intresting to see his mindset and performance tonight.

hmmm...Inkin down in the second round against a guy who doesn't seem to be that much of a stoppage-artist!

It doesn't look that good for Inkin against Froch, does it?

Anyone seen the fight? What was Inkin like?

    :good

Inkin has a ****ing egg chin, I've always said it

He's getting pulverized by Froch, as the UK continues to dominate

Undefeated Russian World Boxing Super middleweight Denis Inkin (32-0, 24 KOs) won a harder than expected 12-round unanimous decision over over challenger Martin Abel Bruer (19-2, 12 KOs) on Saturday night in Dresdan, Germany. Inkin was dropped in round two, after getting hit with a huge right hand from Bruer. However, Inkin got up and surived the round while under tremendous fire from Bruer, who was giving his all stop the Russian. In rounds two through six, Bruer continued connecting with big right hands and stingining jabs, keeping Inkin on the defensive most of the time and unable to unload with his trademark whiplash hooks to the body.

In rounds 7-12, Bruer began to tire under the pressure that Inkin was putting on him. Inkin punished Bruer with beautiful hooks and huge uppercuts on the inside, snapping Bruer’s head on numerous occasions when Inkin was able to get inside on him. Bruer was stunned in the 10th round after getting hit with a left-right combination by Inkin, and was forced to hold on to avoid getting hit with more shots.

The final judges’s scores were 117-111, 117-110 and 117-110, giving the decision to the 29 year-old Inkin.
