The Cruiserweight division keeps on delivering.
Not a bad fight. It will be in Russia, most probably.
Perhaps on the Kovalev vs Yarde card?
I thought he was retiring, wasn't that being said quite frequently?
Good fight. Don't count Lebedev out but it will be a very tough fight given his age and the Armenians class.
Don't like or want to see this fight. Not after the beating Gassiev doled out on him, this has the potential to be even more grueling for poor old ass Denis. I have a bad feeling that the White Swan will be pummeled from one side of the ring to the other, and legitimately stopped for the first time in his career. He should just call it a day and retire.
No. First of all, they have different promoters. It's Hryunov for Lebedev, and the guy who's financing the Kovalev fight is Igor Altushkin, most probably (he or somebody else related to the RCC).
Second, there's no need for this. Kovalev vs. Yarde in Chelyabinsk will be big enough without Lebedev.
Actually, there were some talks that this fight might be his last one before retiring.
I heard that a lot about multiple boxers, but it seems they're all still fighting.
Pascal would be retiring, fights Browne.
Brook would be retiring, debunks rumor.
Browne would be retiring, fights Little.
A good fight by the way.
Mechanic told me my car needed retyring and 3 years later he said the same thing
You know Lebedev was jobbed there and won actual clear against Gassijew (like Golovkin vs. Alvarez or Kowalev vs. Ward I)?
Say what now?!?
He is still at least top 5 in Cruiserweight (arguable 3) and he won more convincingly against Murat Gassijew than vs. Marco Huck. The promoter of them just wanted two title-holder instead of only one (to earn more money, as he could make twice as many title bouts), because only the IBF title was at stage and Denis Lebedev kept the WBA one (like Khan after losing to Peterson or when Judah was dethroned by Baldomir kept he the IBF title).
