Because he was perfectly comfortable with his unwarranted lofty standing with the WBA as a Cruiserweight. Plus if he moved up he wouldn't be able to beat up on smaller men; which is hardly fair on poor Guillermo.

Huh. Lucas Browne actually comes across like a nice, well-spoken guy - and knowledgeable about the sport. :think

Last year, when it was a full 3 months after the Jones vs Lebedev fight that Jones was reported to have failed RUSADA's "A" test for furosemide, without there ever having been a report of a confirmatory "B" test being performed, I was willing to give Jones the benefit of the doubt. Silly me. Jones now testing positive for furosemide AGAIN, this time per the neutral Swiss Laboratory for Doping Analyses (LAD), leaves no room for debate. Whether he used furosemide to cut water weight, or to mask some other, more sinister drug, Jones is a serial drug cheat, and deserves a lengthy suspension, if not a lifetime ban. I completely agree with the decision to not go ahead with the fight today, whether that decision was ultimately made by the WBA or the Lebedev camp. My only question is when this current test was performed and when the positive result was known, because for a major card like this, ideally there should have been time to bring in a late replacement to fight Lebedev and preserve the main event.

Agreed. He always comes across well on his Ifilm London/Ifl tv interviews. He's come in pretty heavy for this fight, which is a bit of a shame. I still think he'll win fairly comfortably but I don't like that he may have under trained for the fight.
