Akarov had never faced a fighter with a winning record before this bout...

Liseev trying to land shots to the body this round. Seems nice and aggressive but Artur is still counter punching, Nice exchange on the ropes mid round! Liseec trying to walk down Artur, He knows he can stop him. Artur on the ropes again. Taking a beating! Loosing heart IMO, Liseev put up a real attack this round, 1 sided in 2nd half. 49-46 Liseev

Liseev taking him to school. The constant pressure is getting to him, Artur looses a point, Wait, why? Long, sustained combos by Liseev, Artur still pushing back when possible. 59-54 Liseev,

Is the main event worth watching? Does Cox have any chance at all?

Artur can't keep getting on the ropes, These long flurries by Liseev. At least Mid ring they have some exchanges, On the ropes Liseev throws these long, not always effective but very active barrages. Fight getting very lopsided. Artur becomes a heavy bag the moment he hits the ropes. Not too many counters anymore, Some, Not many. Lopsided win for Liseev inbound,

Cox is powerful. Maybe, I would if possible.

It'll be a 2 round war, then RD 3 KO by Lebedev,

Artur gives some effort that round but is just too gassed. Wide UD for Liseev IMO. I give RD 2 to Artur that's it.

Aaron Pryor Jr. is actually an overachiever in my book, not an underachiever.

It's unfair to assume someone will do great things just because their parent did.

That's why I think a lot of the criticism of say Sal Sanchez II is unnecessarily harsh.

JCC Jr. is a different story, because he bilked the Mexican fans out of shitloads of PPV pesos by using his father's legendary name (and barely taking the sport & his training seriously before hooking up with Roach). He is deserving of scorn for that.

Pryor, it was clear from early on, was going to fall well short of his father.

His run in 2010-2011 (beating Davis, giving Rodriguez his toughest win to date including George, and legitimately beating Andrade - even if it was a shopworn Andrade, and even if he did need to spoil like crazy to beat him) counts as seriously overachieving in my book.
