Both are Russian but you can essentially consider the "homer" to be Troyanovsky for a host of reasons:

• undefeated
• is signed with the event promoter, Stashkov
• he lives in Bryansk, a few hundred kilometers from Moscow but that is still 10% of the distance from Shakhnazaryan's home of Samara - making this more of Troyanovksy's "backyard".

 

Round 1

Shakhnazaryan is ducking in and pulling out, not throwing, just checking Troya's reactions. Jabs by Troya. Right hand on the forehead while Shakhnazaryan is dipping and he loses his footing and goes to a knee. Ruled a slip. Shakhnazaryan is throwing 1-2s at the body, too far out. Troya making use of his reach advantage, keeping it an archery contest, circling wide and laying the jab down on Shakhnazaryan. Lowering his center of gravity even further, Shakhnazaryan darts in and throws swiping body shots, but Troya is able to scoot back out of the way.

Round 2

Shakhnazaryan is hooking the body and slapping up top with his right, staying low and in Troya's chest. Troya is countering with the long jab and taking big steps outside, feet spread wide apart, several inches beyond shoulder width. Troya is getting caught by the double jab as Shakhnazaryan dashes in with it and then ducks the counter 1-2. Troya lines up a right cross flush on the nose and momentarily stems off Shakhnazaryan's offense. Shakhnazaryan ducks in place and takes a plunging right on the nape. Shakhnazaryan is using side to side movement and springing up and down to confuse Troya. Nice left hook by Shakhnazaryan, twice scoring with it.

I wonder if Shak might have spent himself in the 2nd. Nicking a share of it may have been costly. He's blowing hard on his stool.
