    Hey, V...I've seen Rahimov fight (against Lee, where he allowed himself to be out-hustled at points even though I thought he deserved the decision), but know nothing about Shafikov. What's the story with him...?

    Just beat Mensah at 140 (who was coming off a win over Katsidis) to earn the #2 spot in the IBF at 140 and is in position to fight in a eliminator. He dropped to 135lbs cuz he walks around near 140 and was small for the weighclass so this is at 135 but he may go back up, whichever is the quickest way to a title shot.

    southpaw, good power at 140, good headmovement, can box or swarm and does a bit of both. Good volume and combinations and really fun to watch. He wants Broner or Peterson and is rated in the top 5 by multiple orgs at both weights but still basically unknown. Iv never seen Rahimov.

    19's. Shafikov won the first, Rahimov the second, imo. Not much in these rounds, though.

    3rd to Shafikov, landing cleaner much more often and his body punching is damn beautiful.

    29-28 Shafikov. Neither guy really seems able to gain control, and they're catching a LOT of each other's shots on the gloves. Good, fast paced, evenly contested fight.
