    Was watching Andries' fight with Hearns last night. Very wild, entertaining brawl. Almost more comical than action-packed. Andries reminded me of Trevor Berbick instanly. Very clumsy, slow, threw roundhouses that knock down a draft horse, if only they would land. The fight with Hearns reminded me of Berbick's insane fight with Renaldo Snipes.

    They were similar in ways that's true. Both were strong guys but seen as at times even clumsy. On there best day they could be a handful for the best.

    I always liked Dennis Andries. He was always entertaining. Kind of an underrated player in the history of the sport.

    He was involved in a number of pretty great encounters, whether he won or lost. He always gave fans their money's worth.

    Andries was a road warrior. I don't know how he is remembered in his homeland
    but he will always be linked to Aust boxing because of his unforgettable trilogy
    with Jeff Harding.

    The hardcore remember the Collins fights.

    But yes, the Harding bouts are a close second.

    Yes very likable and often underrated, but not always exciting.

    Particularly pre Steward, his crudeness, could lead to very dull fights. His conditioning and determination got the job done, but they were hard watches.

    Yes, they fought four times: once in '79, once in '82, and twice in '84. I can't figure out which of the twelve rounders in '84 got filmed. Were the others filmed? I'd love to see them all.

    Just looked, Andries and Collins fought an eight-rounder in '78 as well. That's five fights. You almost never hear about two fighters throwing down 4+ times after the 50s.

    ya, I checked; ringside. com has the best Andries DVD by far, but only has the fifth Collins fight, I wish the other four had been filmed
