At light heavy . Barkley ,only man to out point the legendary Hearns V Andries ,3 time WBC champ? Both liked to go to war ..so who wins ?
Simple, Barkley handled Hearns power twice much better than Andries did, he smotheredd him at light heavy which would be even easier vs the clumsy unskilled Andries, Dennis wouldn`t be able to take Barkley`s power as well as Iran could take his. Having said this Tommy`s body was far more defined against Andries and his punching was cleaner and he seemed more focused, but he was like that at middle against Iran also and thoughh he was out boxing Iran, it was still not the trashing that Tommy gave Andries at LH, diffeent class of fighter.
I'm not sure I see Iran beating Andries. Den was a natural strong guy at light heavy ,Barkley never hung around that long. If this is DA who had Steward in his corner then I see him breaking Barkley down and stopping him in 10.But Andries may have to climb off the floor to do so .
personally, i dont really rank Barkley as a fighter. that he was a three devision Champion is crazy considering his Talent to me he was more like a dangerous clubfighter that could upset favorites than a legit world class guy. andries was similar, but at his best a more consistant performer. and a more proven light Heavyweight. i pick him to beat Barkley by decision. but it would have been a great fight!!
