Just tuned in. Umar Khan wins 58-56. Only watched the final round.

Still 4 bouts to go. Ryan Garner up next. Disappointingly his opponent is a career weight below him. This will be Garner’s first 10 rounder in his 14th pro contest, so good that he finally steps up.

 

Edit: Seems like Khalid Ali is up next in a 6-rounder. Is anyone off the card then? Because Chapman, Garner, Collins and Baluta all need to fight afterwards. This will be a long night, especially since Chapman and Garner will more than likely go the full 10 round distance.

Khalid Ali is 5-0, 22 years-old, and trained at Reston as an amateur. He fights out of the southpaw stance and wins the opening round comfortably.

Stoyanov gets hurt to the body by Ali but does catch him with a couple of straight shots. I reckon a stoppage is upcoming in round 3 or 4.

Stoyanov is stuck on the ropes getting caught with a flurry of shots by Ali. The Bulgarian is tough but surely he can’t last for much longer.

40-36 Ali

Reckon Ali is a bit tired. He gets caught with another straight right hand at the end of the round.

Ali needs to work on his head movement. And just as I say that, Stoyanov knocks Ali down at the end of the round. Ali gets up but looks unstable.

Stoyanov comes marching out of his corner looking for a stoppage as he is surely down on the cards. A right hand from Stoyanov forces Ali back. Stoyanov can’t miss with the jab and Ali looks to hold. Ali is trying to survive the round by fighting off the back foot and not looking to engage.

The referee must surely dock a point from Ali for persistent clinching. After a warning from the referee Ali works the jab. The York Hall get behind Ali and it looks like he’ll manage to survive. A lot of defensive improvement needed by Ali.

He will surely win this one 57-56 on the cards.
