Someone must have forgotten to tell Wilder's team that Big John is a fattie who can actually fight.

It will be a good fight and will tell us exactly where Wilder stands in relation to guys like Price and Fury who have both beaten John.

How can this be a stepup for Wilder? John has lost 5 out of his latest 6 fights or something like that.

Wilder should fight Sasha insted of this ****.

McDermott lost 30 lbs in the one month between his KO1 loss to Price and his last fight in Feb.

It will be interesting to see what shape he shows up in, but at this point I think Wilder will get the win, whether McDermott is getting paid to take the dive like most Wilder opponents or not.

Source? I can't understand why Wilder would randomly have a fight in Wales. Are there any other fights on this card? Can't find a source for this anywhere.

It most definitely is a step up. Numbers on their own are meaningless, five losses in seven is an irrelevant stat unless you know:
    1) the standard of opposition
    2) if he was robbed

All of these losses (Williams, Fury, Price) came against solid opponents.
And he was robbed blind in the first fights with Williams and Fury.
I reckon McDermott wins KO1. Wilder is appalling with no defence and McDermott has quickly exposed frauds with poor technique before. Case in point:

McDermott is one of the most underrated fighters out there today, deserves far more credit.

McDermott will test that chin, Even though McDermott isn't above Euro level he is still a tough SOB, Wilder KO 2 if his chin doesn't get cracked!!

:deal You seem to know your **** about world wide boxing new guy, props. :good

McDermott's losses have all came to world class guys, ( Or future world class guys in Price's case! ), McDermott is durable and powerful, While not being the most skillful, A little weight loss would help him take another step up but he still is a pretty good prospect tester without that!
