Denton Vassell is very underrated

Hindsight is a good thing, but I agree.. Denton having such a long time off juggling training with a full time job etc he should have been matched better before looking to make a charge at the British title.

Let's remember Eggington had been looking impressive + has been very active.

 

Bob Shannon is not blameless either. He sees him in the gym everyday, he should have seen how poor he was looking.

He took a career shortening beating there.

 

Bob Shannon is a terrible, terrible trainer. I'm convinced Hatton would have won his comeback fight, had he took on a proper trainer.

underrated I find him being overrated the mans one dimensional domestic level at best

i totally agree, jack catterall since he beat stalker has been hyped something terrible. he is an ok prospect but i don't see him as a world beater tbh.

Safe to say Denton Vassell is shopworn now, after the hiding he took from Plotnykov (a fight in which Vassell was favourite to win).

He showed zero timing and rhythm, and an extremely leaky defence (moreso than usual) against Plotnykov that night.
