When would have been the right time for Davis to fight Loma? 5 years ago when Loma was closer to his prime Davis was in no position to make a fight. 20 years old, no belt with 10 or so fights. Just bad timing for Loma. Past prime, belt holder with a young, hungry guy looking to make a name in the sport. Loma looking like low hanging belt fruit.

 

Who would you have him fight tho?
Tank? Shakurr?

Honestly I don’t know how good or bad Keyshawn Davis really is. I am not particularly fond of his personality but that is neither here or there really. I know fair weights is a pet peeve of yours but I am not sure what can be done unless for the same day, day of fight weigh in. Though I thought the day before was for safety reasons or are you advocating next morning rehydration limit like IBF do for world title fight? It’s clear that if we had old morning of the fight day weigh in to make the weight then many guys would not be able to fight in the weight classes they compete in. It is an interesting conundrum I believe.

 

Don’t think Haney can boil down to Lightweight anymore, neither can Teofimo or Ryan Garcia. Don’t envisage Loma is going to get in with Gervonta Davis or Shakur. It might shock both you and @Serge but I suspect Loma would beat Keyshawn Davis even now.
