It is quite apparent that this era of American HW boxing has been the most abysmal by far in the history of the sport.

But fear not, Deontay IMO will make his mark in the near future and stand at the pinnacle of HW boxing. :yep

Let us consider these factors as to why this man will be the next saviour of American HW boxing and even revive the HW scene as whole.

    1. His exciting style

Whenever Deontay fights, fans know that someone will be KNOCKED THE F OUT. The dude has delivered on almost all fronts.

    31 fights, 31 KO's in devastating fashion.

If you don't believe me, see for yourself. :deal

    2. Fights for his sick daughter

We live in a world where popularity matters, especially in a sport like boxing.

Once he gets into more high profile fights, people are going to want to know more about this man.

When they realize that this man fights for his daughter (Who is suffering from Spina Bifita) an incurable disease, people are going to cheer for him.

Especially those who suffer from the same disease or ones who suffer from something similar.

His popularity will go through the roof.

    3. A smooth transitioning from a boring HW scene/boring American HW scene.

I've already stated this, the HW scene has been abysmal for the last 10-12 years, and many individuals in the States have stopped caring about HW boxing because there hasn't been any good top American HW's.

After Tyson retired, the scene has been quite dead.

The Klitschko brothers are great fighters no doubt about it, but Wlado isn't exactly one of the most exciting fighters to watch. In fact, he is widely considered to be the most BORING fighters out there.

I can see Wilder being passed the torch from the Klitschkos and dominate HW boxing for years to come.

    4. An English speaking man

We all know that speaking English is a huge asset when it comes to popularity. Wilder has that in abundance. The man is extremely well spoken, articulate.

With Deontay Wilder leading the charge into the next era, it looks extremely promising.

A future HOF and potentially All The Great, DEONTAY THE BRONZE BOMBER WILDER!

It would be written in the contract that joshua can only use his left hand, and only throw straights. thats the only way deontay would get in the ring wiv him

Yep, another "savior of the heavyweight division".
We've seen a lot of those the last decade, and Wilder has clearly earned that label. Wonder who the next one will be and what will be the reason of his failure.

Wilder must be special if he thinks it's an achievement Beating up a mentally disabled 160-170 pounder in a gym brawl.

    GJ Wilder you bum beater.

Stiverne only got the title due to WBC wanting an American champion which was supposed to be arreola but he got battere

Why do you think both Jennings and wilder are getting shots too?

In any other division the WBC would have probebly got the two best in the division to fight for the belt eg pulev and povetkin. Instead they got two guys both probebly not ranked in the top 10 to fight for the belt in a rematch

    An injury = title defense
