If I were Stiverne I'd make a voluntary defense against Jennings, and by doing that force Wilder to take another stay busy fight against a journeyman which will add more rust, and skill stagnation originally caused by his management team in the first 31 fights.
Think about it........
On the other hand Jennings is a proven contender, but the rust by fighting even more journeymen will be bad for Wilder's preparation.

 

The only thing Wilder is gonna do in that fight is get knocked out cold.

His "power" is a fraud, a product of careful matchmaking - fights against the worst collection of bar patrons and homeless people I've ever seen a fighter pad his record with. And his chin is made of pure glass, just waiting to get shattered by the first live body he faces.

Stiverne is that live body. And if Wilder's management doesn't find a way out of this fight, he's getting his glass jaw exposed.

We still don't know for sure, but Wilder could either be The Heavyweight Messiah some have been waiting and longing for.

He might be The Great Hope, or he could be just another great hype.
