I don't see Parker on the backfoot with someone like Wilder. With AJ he had too as he actually has skill, hits hard and big. Wilder's a lanky cruiser, who can't box and only has a right hand. Wilder's still dangerous on the backfoot. If Parker can get close after making Wilder miss with the right hand, potentially he can wing in body shots like he did to Fa. I don't see Wilder's frame taking body shots well

Exactly Szpilka had a glass jaw too and he lasted long. Parker has an iron dome - he took big shots all night against Joyce before that monster shot at the end. I reckon he'd get up against Wilder's right hand and make it through the windmills

Sod it, I'm going with Parker on this one.

I think the Fury fights may have taken their toll on Wilder. I think Parkers chin is still better than Wilders.

Plus Wilder is just a long sausage when it comes to boxing skills.

Albeit he's a hard hitting long sausage....

Quite looking forward to this whole event.

For a single shot with his right hand, I'll agree Wilder hits harder than Joyce. However, Wilder is low volume and he would not be able to take the damage Joyce did against Parker without hitting the canvas. It's not an apples to apples comparison since Joyce has a better chin and is more willing to take punishment than Wilder.

Joyce gets a lot of hate now for being a hypejob after losing to Zhang twice but when was he in the hole that Wilder was in against similar competition like Ortiz, Spilka, or Washington? I never saw Joyce struggle and need his power to bail him out against lower tier competition.

Parker landed hardly any shots v Joyce, he got completely dominated and didn`t land any damaging shots, he`s gone the distance 10 times.

Hopefully Parker sparks Wilder out so we can hear more about egg weights and ancestral spirits

To me, Parker is more likely to KO Wilder

    than to win on points

That's my take too - Wilder also hasn't been active much - it's been a year since Helenius and that wasn't exactly much of a work out.

But, who knows Deontay may still show he has more left physically than I think

Well, Wilders always got his one trick pony, he'll never lose that. You can't dismiss him 100% against anyone really. If he lands full and clean you're gonna need a good chin and recovery.

I just feel with the losses and wars and punishment he's taken, along with the inactivity and ring rust that he'll most definitely have on fight night, that I'm giving Parker the edge here coming off a decent enough KO win.

    War Parker!

Will Parker take a Scott-esque dive is probably the more important question

    Why?

Fights have been contested over whatever number of rounds since the beginning. There’s no law or understanding that anything over 10 rounds must have a belt attached to it.

Heck, Tunney and Dempsey twice fought for the title over 10 rounds … should those not have counted?

Odd place to plant a flag.
