he had no leverage on it, his shoulder was in external rotation. You cant generate power on a straight punch with your shoulder in that position. It was a weak slap

I'm a long time Helenius fan, but this was a disgrace. He clearly didn't take the biggest fight of his career seriously. So yeah... He should definitely retire.

Youre just talking about the way he prepared for the fight right, youre not trying to say that Helenius took a dive?

Looking at this at 30 fps...I don't see Wilder's shoulder in external rotation.

Helenius simply stepped into a short, concussive shot.

This KO is no great accomplishment by Wilder. Helnius was being a bit foolish and I think (like some are suggesting) he simply came to get paid.

One good shot is better than zero, I suppose.

do you know what external rotation of the shoulder it?
It clearly in external rotation the whole time before the punch

Again i have no problem with anyone believing this is real. I'm just stating that i can't bring myself to believe this is real based on what i have seen and what i know about biomechanics

The WBC is corrupt as hell they did everything in their power to keep the Dosser gravy and hype train rolling by ranking these unskilled bus conductors and dog trainers and the fact they still had The Dosser ranked #1 after brutal back-to-back KO/stoppage defeats which with the exception of one round weren't even competitive confirms that resoundingly. Has that ever happened in the history of the sport?

They even made a shot near 4o y/o Stiverne who had only fought once in just under three years, against a journeyman who dropped him, mandatory.

I strongly suspect there is funny business going on behind the scenes between Team Dosser and the WBC

At this stage they shouldn't muck around, get him in the big fights. He and Usyk is, if anything, juicer than Fury - Usyk. Fascinating matchup of styles. The division is alive and all we need is for the big fights to be made. They are all there on a platter. Whack Wilder straight in with Usyk or Joshua. Get the big 4 in there and Ruiz and co can wait. Wilder's not going to learn any new tricks and neither are the other three. They are all still very very capable and the time is now. If they can get the four hammering this era will be remembered extremely fondly.

They need to keep Wilder and Fury apart for at least one segment. Let Wilder prove he can beat the likes of Usyk and /or Joshua and let them prove the reverse. If Wilder beat Usyk a fourth match with Fury would come alive. I'm not sure who ****ed the proposed Fury - Joshua match but if it went ahead followed by Usyk - Wilder with the winners to fight we would have been truly spoiled.

We've got the four names we need and we could even trim Joshua at this point if he's too much trouble to get in there. Make the fights and define the era.

Wilder/Joshua is the fight to make. It's four years too late but still would be a huge event in the UK.

How is it a fascinating matchup of styles? We already know how it will go, Usyk schooling Wilder for every second of every round with Wilder only having the punchers chance.

Some people giving credit to Wilder for beating 38 years old Helenius, but never give credit AJ for beating much better old fighters like Povetkin, Pulev and Takam.
