I was going for Wilder, but after the knockdown in the second round he had no balance, and while I thought the fight could have gone a little longer before it was stopped, I don't really have a problem with it. I thought Wilder's trainer saying he didn't think Breland should have thrown in the towel because Deontay doesn't want to quit, a little annoying. Deontay didn't seem to have the balance to set up his punches, or throw with the kind of power he usually does, and he was going to have an easy time doing that without the balance problems. The blood coming out of his ear and the look on his face showed there was something wrong that he wasn't going to be able to recover from during in the fight. Deontay might not want to quit, but the corner is responsible for their fighter. If he wasn't having balance issues after the busted eardrum it would be a different story

If Wilder is just a hype job, does that mean it wasn't an impressive win from Fury?

    Bingo.

Can't always judge a fighter's ceiling by his floor. In the year before he fought Liston, Ali was dropped hard by Cooper and dropped more rounds to Doug Jones than he wound up losing to Sonny.

I don't mind if a fighter doesn't blow through the lesser guys, it's all about how they step up when they need to. And Fury is as clutch as they come.

According to fat Dan Wilder did not need to go to the hospital after the fight, just a dr exam in the dressing room?

In a way, yes. However, he could only beat what was in front of him. He bulldozed the bum for 6 rounds, then stopped him. Remember Fury was basically straight out of rehab when Wilder got the dodgy draw?
Fury annihilated Wilder, it was an absolute schooling.

The real line of form was always through Klitschko. Joshua will rise to the occasion when he fights Fury. That will be a great fight between the 2 best heavyweights in the world.

Wilder literally never beat any elite fighter.

Ok, I'm exaggerating to call him a bum, but he's made a lot of money from American patriotism by knocking out has-beens and bums.

Jesus, they even had Charles Martin on the card.

Don't believe that. The guy is in a very bad way. Should have been stopped in the 4th.

Wilder's team is full of idiots and amateurs like Ward pointed out during the fight.
He definitely should have gone to the hospital.
