    Sour grapes. Just admit you were wrong. Excuses don’t help your cause. The better fighter won and should be 2-0 against Wilder. Fury beat Wilder soundly and the corrupt ref couldn’t even steal the fight for him this time. Like you said, it is what it is.

    Yep, all the talk of eardrum punctures by the internet “experts” is typical BS excuse making. Wilder was never in that fight and was dominated by a better boxer from the opening bell. He was eating shots and looked scared, like he didn’t want to be there all night. Meanwhile, Fury was loose, laughing, licking blood (WTF?) and landing big shots at will, until Wilder’s corner deprived fans of a brutal KO by throwing in the towel.

    No eardrum punctures, no serious injuries, just the kind of damage you get when a 270lb monster hits you repeatedly in the body and head. I hope they fight again so Fury can be 3-0 against this guy. Entertaining, albeit one sided, fight.

    Wait, so where did the 'busted eardrum' narrative come from? I just took on good faith that somebody on ESPN's commentary team had mentioned that either Wilder's team or the ring physician or someone had ruled it likely (but obviously not diagnosed then & there on the spot, as that isn't how that works) and that I'd just missed it, having muted the feed after the stoppage.. I didn't realize it was just pure conjecture on the part of forum posters making assumptions because Wilder happened to have bled from the orifice. :dunno

    No doubt this fight sold well unlike the first fight. You only had to see the huge crowd turn up for the weigh in to see this 2nd fight was on a totally different scale.

    A punch isn't busting an eardrum, unless it lands on the ear. You sure it wasn't a shot to his mandible that caused an internal injury near the mandibular attachment, which is also in the area?
