I heard yesterday from a good source that the rematch between fury and wilder was a done deal before the first fight took place and Hearn had zero chance of ever getting either of them in with AJ. All those offers were bull****. Anyway, I’m pleased the rematch is happening and it’s an intriguing one! If Wilder and his team do there homework and fine tune those three punch combinations he was hitting thin air with he can land those this time around but on the other hand Fury can come in fitter and faster this time around.
Um.....it sounds reasonable. I think that Wilder should improve his killing instinct. How to finish his opponent as quickly as possible after he gets up from the KD.
Confidently (very) picking Wilder the first go around is one of my worst predictions. And I guess I will gladly line up another fail... Wilder by stoppage.
See, he "can" improve on it in theory but he could have improved at any point in his career on any number of things and that has yet to truly happen.
Fury is incredibly elusive when he wants to be. But generally speaking, Wilder is a very good finisher. Something AJ is also very good at. To say he needs to improve his 'killer instinct' feels a little vacuous to me. It isn't something you can suddenly do between camps against someone who fights like Fury does. It's akin to saying he should train to win a little harder
Fury is the most gifted heavyweight I kept telling you guys..... Fury can beat these guys despite being clearly not at his best... Forget how Fury beat wlad without even trying?
Yes but good against who ? He is a very good finisher but if someone's not drained who can fight back,he will be countered with those Wild swings of just random punches. He almost got himself in trouble and had to hold on after the Fury knockdown. plenty of room for improvement , it's when he goes after you when he's stunned someone is when Wilder s at his worst himself, leaves himself wide open. He's lucky Fury doesn't carry heavy hands that shot he was caught with would have helped Fury end the fight right there , Wilder was seeing stars for a moment. The killer instinct is there from Wilder but he's not a calculated finisher .
Well, against everyone he's faced other than Fury. He doesn't exactly have a HOF CV but he's still put everyone else away. The vast majority of fighters don't manage that, even against the lower calibre guys
