Wilder landed 3 out of 5 punches thrown whilst Audley was on his arse. He is in fact so terrible that he three himself off his feet while throwing windmilled shots. That's not in the rule book last time I checked. Wilder DQ

  2. Hey, we all love "kill mode." But this was a kid getting a little too excited and carried away with his kill mode. He could have left no doubt if he would have stayed calm, kept his punches straight and varied his attack.

Here is a seasoned pro executing what I think is the perfect "kill mode."

I know it's not really fair to compare Wilder to De La Hoya, but this is just an example. Did you see how Oscar kept calm, took his time, gave himself room, and threw his punches correctly even during his "swarm" at the end? This is the kind of thing I want to see from our supposed American Heavyweight Savior.

What Wilder did against Audley worked because it's Audley.

    One more thing...

Please let it be Fury vs Wilder soon...

  4. I'm for it.

But I don't think Wilder's people will let him step up that big yet.

Wilder called out Fury and it was Fury's people who turned the fight down.

I think Wilder needs one more fight against a Skelton/McDermott type before then. Would give us a much better gauge on his chances as well as raise his profile on these shores. Audley is seen as a joke, and even a first round blowout isn't going to raise too many pulses at this point. Taking out a solid domestic name like one of the above would help raise interest in a potential Fury clash without particularly endangering Wilder's future hopes.

He isn't a brit he is an american, time for Fury and Wilder to fight and then for Wilder to move on to someone like a Cunningham or Arreola people on the gatekeeper level.

Wilder was swinging his arms like my 5-year-old daughter does when she gets a temper tantrum.

Damn never before has a man KO'ing a bum shattered the glass jaw island more than Deontay on Saturday.

He finished Harrison Boyz in the hood style

like completely opposite from his fellow Alabamian.

but then again Joe Louis is at the absolute top when it comes to this kind of ****.

the point is that for such a naturally powerful puncher in Wilder, he doesn't have to look for power. a right hand thrown straight from the shoulder of Wilder is shorter, takes less energy, leaves him less open and it's probably easier to aim at the target, and it has PLENTY of power

Was half-kidding with 'soon'. Simply judging from both their recents it'd surely be 'interesting' as their next , but seriously by 12-18 months I suppose. Agreed that in the meantime Wilder's team should forget bums and go for one or three roughly between Audley and Fury levels. Obviously quality training much above whatever he's had. So, maybe face Tyson in the second half of 2014.....but I'd still appreciate it far sooner :yep
