Doesn't anyone find it a little odd that the first time he takes on a half decent fighter, Deontay was taken the full distance, it's no coincidence.. Now as a WBC beltholder he is starting to go back to his days of cherry picking suitable tomato cans. Eric Molina gave him a few scares, but still wasn't ranked, not this clown Duhauppas.. Duhauppas was beaten by Pianetta, a man who never got out of the first minute against Chagaev... A man who was beaten easily by a couple of other holders around today.. Back in 1987, when iron mike best Trevor Berbick for the WBC belt, how would you have all judged mike if he announced that his first two defences were to be against James Pritchard and Anders Ecklund, two fighters who were ranked exactly where Molina and Duhappas are ranked currently.. Deontay is taking the division back a decade..

It's not "odd" at all - there's a CLEAR reason for all this. This guy isn't Tyson, not remotely close. Widler is a FRAUD, with a glass jaw - and his handlers know it. Hence, they will fight stiff after stiff until the inevitable "cash out" fight against Wlad or Povetkin, whichever gives them the better payday.

That's what this con game is all about, and once you understand this, it all makes perfect sense.

Oh I understand it alright.. I'm just wondering what the WBC are thinking.. I comanaged a heavyweight from 1999 until 2008, we were constantly vetted and having to justify our choice of opposition to the commission and we were world ranked for 5 years.. Uncle Al is setting this **** up..

Isn't the Pianeta fight like 7 years ago?

Anyways, what do you think of Duhaupas' win against Charr?

It could have been a KO1 for all it matters; there's still no way it should warrant you a world title shot

He plodded... Never raised the pace much, and Charr didn't look motivated.. This guy shouldn't be fighting for a WBC belt..

I can name about 15 heavyweights that aren't getting the shot that would demolish Duhappas.. Guys like Malik Scott, Joseph Parker, Steve Cunningham, Anthony Joshua, Bermaine Stiverne, Dominic Breazeale, Lucas Browne even..

Nope. Duhaupas outboxes Stiverne, Browne(unless they land a huge shot), current Breazele. And I'd give him a fair chance against Scott and Joshua. I'm not defending these title defences but Duhaupas is no "bum".

It's not his fault his opponents don't want to sign on the dotted line.

Yeah, clearly the WBC is exercising NO oversight function, and it would not surprise me in the least if money was changing hands to facilitate this.

This is why these organizations are just a cancer on the sport. They do nothing to prevent this kind of chicanery.

You just have to admit there was no offer made to Jennings or Takam.

And how would you know this? :think

If those two really feel that Deontay is ducking them, they would have spoken up. They didn't.
