Wilder is the only fighter that I can think of that celebrates a 3rd place win in his moniker.

I'm not saying that getting a bronze medal in the Olympics isn't impressive. It is. And I get the Joe Louis reference but as it stands, it's sort of like he's calling himself a 3rd rate Joe Louis.

All that said I look forward to him stepping up his level of competition, win or lose he's pretty fun to watch.

I'm new to the forum ... Is this trolling? I would think that people who love boxing enough to waste time posting on a boxing forum would recognize Wilder as extremely limited. It is beyond obvious.

i like watching wilder he is entertaining

his backers though are trying to milk him for evry penny as they are not willing to put him in any 50/50 fights or even many where he would be say a 3 to 1 on favourite

this is the reason he has not ironed out his flaws after 36 fights / he should be a much more rounded and complete fighter than he currently is / given his speed height/reach /skill /power.

when he eventually gets in the ring with a puncher / he must fight differently than he has done in virtually all his fights.

its why there are still question marks over him.

As his backers should - that's their job. Wilder's value is in staying undefeated - when they cash him in it should be big (klitchko or fury seem most logical). I thought the povetkin fight was horrible for him but I guess the money was just good enough for the risk.

    he has enough money
only so much you need before it should become about resume and acheivement .
i dont mind favourites of mine losing / as long as they dont go in against 20 to 1 outsiders every time and expect us boxing diehards to pay them to watch.

any sport where the outcome is already known beforehand loses the intrest of fans. which is why wilder is fighting relativley small hall shows .

Seriously? If there is such an amount of money that dictates it's time to fight for legacy, wilder is not even close to it. What do you imagine his net worth is at this point? Keep in mind that boxers generally will retire with no job prospects, brain damage. there is a strong possibility wilder is broke at age 50 and you want him to worry about legacy building for fans like yourself? Who is being greedy?
