    Deontay Wilder, WBC HW World Champion, has won the title on January 17, 2015, when he beat Bermane Stiverne.

    @MVC! surprisingly missed this date, but he can post his thoughts in this thread.

    Wilder has defended his title 8 times thus far, and is one of the longest-reigning WBC HW champions in history both in defenses and longetivity.

    If you look back at 2011-2013, have you thought that Wilder will win the belt? And did you expect he will hold the belt so long?

    It's a shame the Povetkin fight never happened... I believe that one would've answered a lot of the questions we're still trying to answer.

    Technically Fury is supposed to be the WBC champ.
    Also, Wilder managed to be a champ for 4 years without beating a single top fighter. His best win is Stevern, who only defeated shot Arreola, and Ortiz, who only beat Jennings, who lost to a novice by KO recently.

    Would be a fantastic bout & it is frustrating aj won’t put the percentages & popularity aside to give the fans what they want, Boxing is a fan friendly sport well before it’s a business however I’m afraid he won’t learn that until he close to the casket

    Um yeah I agree it's just frustrating that Wilder over prices himself claiming 60/40 in his favor.....
