much as i think Windmill is a rubbish boxer, he's too quick and explosive for the polish sausage who is a fine rough house fighter but has little defence.

If Wilder actually beats Kownatski it would be his biggest win.

It would be similar to Ike vs Tua. Both would be damaged after the fight.

Duhaupas is similar type fighter, but tougher and more skilled and has more pop in his hands than this Polak. And Wilder was able to deal with him rather easily.

It's all too predicatable when discussing anything to do with Wilder on here. Waste of time even debating with anyone rationally on the subject

There is a pathological hatred towards the guy. I think only Floyd Mayweather was the last fighter to receive such widespread level of hatred with the an entire world waiting for him to receive a loss.

Kownacki does have an unpleasant style to deal with, he's throwing shots at angles in fairly fast combinations and they have weight behind them. He also has a solid chin, all in as serious a challenger as Ortiz.

To use a famous quote in a famous David Price loss - "oh dear dear dear dear dear"

Kownacki could cause him issues early on. We saw in the Fury rematch that Wilder doesn't like pressure and can't fight effectively going backwards, but if Kownacki gives him a second's breathing space to unleash that right hand then I see him getting dropped the same way he got dropped by Hellboy.

I think it's still an interesting fight to make personally, and losses for both men don't really change that.
