L.Lewis and Iron Mike in their prime would have wrecked this fraud inside of 3 rounds or less.

Yep. Bigger means nothing if you don't have the Co ordination to properly use your weight.

Conor didn`t work on his stamina, AJ does swimming because his muscle mass makes him gas quickly, they never used methods like that in Tyson`s day, but Rocky Balboa used swimming in training to fight Clubber Laing in `82, lol! However Wilder doesn`t even do any roadwork, iron Mike did and would have had an advantage in the stamina department.

    Disagree with Wilder as usual.

Thing is, in my opinion heavyweights from the 80s and 90s looked a lot more athletic than they do today, just a lot faster and more explosive as well as generally more coordinated and able to fight for longer. Tyson, Holyfield, even lower-tier smallish guys like Morrison and Tua, were a lot more impressive than their counterparts in the modern era; the big men were fast and fluid, not lumbering statues or flailing simpletons; and the number of fighters with solid fundamentals was a lot deeper so that even minor brawls were fought at a relatively high technical level.

Nowadays evenly fought HW fights are a rare breed, and a supposedly world-class fighter in Wilder barely understands the rudiments of the sport he's been participating in for the past decade. I don't see an improvement in either skills or overall athleticism, just an increase in size of competitors and no one sharp enough or good enough at a lower weight to contend with them.

Largely unknown fact.....Wilder's brain is working on 2 aa batteries. They have been due to be replaced for some time. He just doesn't remember to do it when they run down. Marciano was an old school fighter and one of the best conditioned ever. Holmes prime versus Wilder....with two new batteries.....Wilder gets humiliated and KTFO. He is disgraceful. He should just shut up and windmill his way forward.

Jeez, are we really living in a world where Wilder is comparing himself to that era of boxers?

When did Ortiz turn pro though? He certainly didn`t turn pro when Tyson did.
