In my eyes he would be the Bob Foster of the Cruiser weight division enjoying a massive reach, height and power advantage.

There are CW’s in modern times who way more then wilder on fight night, the man gives away 30lbs casually that much can be respected but imagine if he were fighting men his own weight we’ve seen him put down big men without breaking a sweat he isn’t amazing, nor great but his athleticism works against world level HWs how do you think he fares throughout history as a CW.

Which eras if you think he does, does he win a belt and how long do you think he rules?
Who dethrones him? Who beats him before he gets a shot? just a fun question inspired by Wilder talking about going down to CW.

His frame is too big for CW in my opinion. If he could cut the weight without adverse consequences then he'd probably do well. However, I doubt it. Furthermore, the CW division is stacked with talent. I'm guessing he picks up a couple of losses against the top guys.

I doubt he makes weight safely, as we saw how drained he looked in the first Fury fight, which was only going down to 212.

Even if he made weight without difficulty, which I just can't see, he'd still lose to Briedis, Gassiev and Usyk. Dorticos could definitely beat him too.

I think him making CW is very possible Considering smaller leaner men have been known to lose more then 15lbs, some would think Bob Foster based on appearance wouldn’t be suitable for LHW but obviously we know he was more then effective there it’s not much of a water cut really, even if he was in a slightly diminished state who has touched the division even close to Wilders height, reach and power?

I think he would batter most CWs past and present with some getting a pass based on there unfinished career status.

He cpuld have easily made CW. He might actually be less dominant there though because there's more head movement and foot speed.

The reason he was so successful is a lot of HWs are big, slow punchers. He's got the reach advantage plus he's athletic so he can punch first but won't gas first.

He weighed 212 & a 1/2 at his lightest in recent years.
Even if he was 220 he could fairly easily drain the almost 10% water weight needed to make CW.
Wilder is no favorite of mine, but since he is big only in height for a HW-& has no legs-he would be a great candidate to dominate the CW division.
But the money & glamor is greater at HW.

why dont he think of building some legs rather than draining 20lbs, you can easily bulk up a 6'7 frame its not like he relies on skills or movement.
