He did? Two judges gave Fury MORE ROUNDS (one had it 8 rounds to 4, the other had it 7 rounds to 5) ... Should the judges have pretended the knockdowns didn't occur? Would that have made it more fair? Enough with the judging for God's sake. There were NO U.S. judges. And the British judge didn't even give Fury the win. Fury HIT the deck TWICE. If he didn't, he would've won. They'll do it again. It was only their first meeting.
A few days ago I started a thread, https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/how-does-wilder-recover-from-that.620105/ in it I wrote: Wilder just got absolutely clowned for 10 of 12 rounds by a Tyson Fury who needed more tune up fights after 3 years out of the ring, drug abuse, alchohol abuse, ballooning up to 400lbs+ and suffering from a mental breakdown. Wilder also landed clean shots on which Fury just shook off, even the big right and left hook that put Fury down didn’t keep him down. Into the bargain Fury got off the canvass twice and dominated the remainder of the rounds. Wilder clearly draws great confidence from his much vaunted power but the question always remained, “would that power be effective against better opponents” ? The answer clearly is no! Wilders perfect record has gone! Despite avoiding defeat he knows he got a corrupted decision, the expression on his face at the scorecards was not that of a man who thought he’d won but ended up with a draw. How does this effect his beleif going forward, he now knows that he doesn’t have the power to stop the real elite fighters! This new injury claim by Wilder smacks of a man desperately seeking excuses that HE can beleive in order to protect his fragile confidence.
The ettiene fight wasn't the only fight where Tyson done his back in. Tyson used to do so many sit ups that he actually used to damage his back. If I can remember correctly, Tyson's supposed first fight with holyfield back in 1991 was postponed because Tyson injured himself doing situps.
A more probable and believable excuse for Deontay would be to say that he is mentally challenged....i.e. DUMB. Everyone knows that is true. Just say 'I am dumb and I fought dumb and there is nothing I can do to change it."
Yeah right we believe you Donkey. But I thought you had the sniffles too? lol The most comical part about this is he's claiming Fury was at his best and he was only at 50%
Wilder needs to go on a 3week bender, not a 156 week bender like fury did because Fury is a British man and can brush off a Mammoth bender and come out fighting and win, its in our DNA! But deontay should atleast go on a 3 week bender and then fight Fury on even ground. See how he does then.
According to his brother Shane, even the long time alkies couldn't keep up with The Gypsy King when he was on his benders. The audacity of Donkey even daring to suggest Fury was anywhere near his best.
He's making up an excuse for a poor performance. Wilder would never have agreed to the fight if that were true.
