There was no offer. But forget about all that. The fight is there to be made NOW.
You're coming up with excuses why it shouldn't happen.

 

I hear you and I don't knock that. However I feel that fighting an easy mark is tantamount to good sparring and does no more than that in preparing him for Wilder. All it does is put the fight further away than it has to be. I wanna see the best fighting the best and the sooner the better for me.

 

No offer mentioned there. Link says he had to face Fury first which is what i already told you.

 

I'm sure he'll eventually fight AJ, if AJ wins. Too much money to pass up.

My fear is that he doesn't try to unify with Parker or take a true challenge before that. I want to see a unification process like Lennox Holyfield, not Tyson. If AJ picks up one belt after another, with the other titlists content to just wait their turn for a big payday, it makes for a less exciting process, and also imo makes it more likely that AJ wins. It would just be seen as a coronation, and everyone else would be seen as a massive underdog and that would likely have mental effects. If Wilder Parker unified before facing AJ, the winner would have alot more confidence and be seen as a much bigger threat to beat AJ than otherwise.

 

Can't really take anything Wilder says seriously. His track record of avoiding the top comp speaks for itself.

Someone needs to tell Deontay actions not words.

 

Unification trumps mandatory bouts. You should know that. If Wilder was serious the negotiations would have progressed, but unfortunately Duco had to deal with the slimy Fury mob.

 

I'll interpret that for you. He said that he wants Parker's ass in the ring as soon as possible. Now rince that, I mean rinse that. My bad.

 

Forgot about that. If Wilder said he had to go turn over a bin man first he'd be ripped apart.

 

Parker has been out of the ring for 6 months and has just come through a long (the fight date was already postponed at the Fury's request) training camp.

He needs to fight to stay active and not waste a training camp. And even if he did fight, he's not going to want to start camp immediately for a July fight, he'd be far too tired after 6 months of training camp.

BTW that's what Wilder did when he fought Chris Arreola not to waste a training camp.

 

It may not be an easy mark.

Given they only have a few days to find someone I assume it will be, but you never know.

No I want to see the fight in May 6th, not July. Wilder wants to unify NOW, lets do May 6th.
