Apparently Price has a weak chin too.

How can you say Price is not better than Wilder? Price has more weapons than Wlad. Yes Wilder can punch very hard and he's fast. But I see Michael Grant all over again when I see Wilder. And he has fought total tomato cans so far. We wont know what he has until he steps up. I understand he has been knocked down already and thats not a good sign. What happens when he gets hit is the question. I remember how HBO hyped up Grant and in the first round with Golota there was glass flying everywhere. WIlder has speed and he can punch. And he can knock out Wlad Klitschko if he was able to land but thats not saying much

Maybe not but Seth showed heart in that fight. Seth was hurt for sure but I can't say he has a glass jaw yet. I mean the punches from Chazz that hurt Mitchell would have floored Wlad. Wlad has one of the worst chins in boxing history and look how far he made it. Yeah his jab and grab style is a coward way to fight but Wilder can use the same cheating style and win.

I think Fury should take this fight to be honest. It would be a good fight for Price to take too. I think its only a matter of time before Fury is exposed. Price is the best prospect out of the UK right now.

I like Mitchell but that Witherspoon fight would open alot of eyes in the Heavyweight divison, ye know? Mitchell's next opponent will be thinkin now, this fella can be hurt, ye know? Coward way to fight or smart way? As you say, he hasn't got the greatest chin, and hasn't been beaten or dropped since Brewster.

Of course he should take that fight. It would be huge for Fury if he won. It would push either fighter, which ever one won, closer to a Klitschko.

its a winnable fight for either man. but, i got fury still. fury seems to be a way better boxer at this point. wilder is jab and right hand. fury mixes it up. plus the chin factor. wilder doesnt have a good chin going from the amateurs. furys chin is no doubt better. if it became a war, fury would have the upper hand just based on his chin

Wilder also has a killer left hook. Did you not notice how he won his last fight?

Price is still better, but jeez....

Give me a ****ing break. Wilder got KO'd & KD'd a couple of times, and when he ws still learning how to take a punch. He had almost no amateur career. Taking a punch is a SKILL, in case YDKSAB.

Ali went down as much as Wilder has, and against less than stellar opponents. Does that mean he has a glass chin? - And idiots around here have to stop showing him slipping against Nichols and claiming it was a KD. How ****ing blind ARE you guys?

    ----------

I just don't get the hate against Wilder. You should all be excited about his prospects, and thankful we have such a beast in the game at all. He has some great skills, he works hard & improves every fight (even though he has a full-time day job) he's humble, and he has the most devastating OH right in the game.

It's not his fault who he's been matched with. He vents his frustration about this constantly.

    His jab has improved dramatically.
He's using his left hook now. (He KO'd Manswell with it.)
    His balance looks much better.
He's putting on weight, probably in his legs.
He's not clowning around in the ring like he used to. (probably from boredom.)
He takes his time in the ring, like a seasoned pro, yet finishes with deadly intent.
He has an incredible, one punch KO OH right, and an 84" reach.
    He's well-spoken & seems very intelligent.

The ONLY negative thing you can say about him is that he hasn't proven himself against anyone with a pulse. This is true. That does NOT equate to being a bad boxer. It only means that he's unproven:

We have no idea how he'll react to a strong pressure fighter, like Price, Mitchell, etc.
My guess is that he will simply overwhelm them with his offense, but it remains to be seen.

We have no idea if, when fighting a great defensive opponent like Haye or Wlad, if Wilder will get frustrated & sloppy. My guess is that he'll remain calm, and take his time like he has in every fight he's fought so far.

We have no idea how well he can take a punch from someone like Wlad or Haye, AT THIS POINT. Realize that his balance has improved, and he has been gaining at least SOME experience (he uses excellent sparring partners) so he has likely improved his ability to avoid punches & lessen the impact of punches that land. Also realize that Wlad has a lousy chin and is currently the undisputed HW champ, so puhleez...

I remain convinced that Wilder will become the unified HW champ in 2 years, even getting past Price, if GBP can get their **** together and make the important fights happen. But again, what top fighter in his right mind would get into the ring with Wilder, if he didn't have to?

Fury looks miles ahead of Wilder in terms of versitility and all-around skills... but thats why they fight the fights.

We really don't know how good, or bad, Wilder is at this point... He sure as hell hasnt faced anybody as good as Chisora, Rogan or even Pajkic yet.

    Time will tell

Wilder would annihilate Fury and Price.....all 3 guys have glass chins but wilder is the hardest puncher, the most aggressive and has the fastest hands which isn't always enough to win vs top level fighters but against guys with mediocre D at best and Glass chins then usually the faster, more aggressive puncher wins.

I'd love to see any of these fights

For the good of boxing I hope we begin to see potential fights like this going ahead over the next few years, this decade could be big for HWs again.
