You need to review Fireman Jim Flynn fights. Got a shot at the HW title vs Jack Johnson . Makes Gunner Moir look like Ali. Absolutely awful boxer. Got KTFO numerous times in his career .

I meant if Wilder broke the consecutive ko record.

Why would Wilder need an asterisk if he surpassed Holmes? Holmes stopped his first eight WBC title challengers out of the gate. If Wilder stops Fury, he will, too.

I'm not seeing a need for an asterisk.

Louis went the distance in his first defense and Burns went the distance in his fourth and fifth defenses before going on their KO runs.

    I don't get your point.

Tyson Fury is undefeated. He's going to be fighting for the next 10 years. He could win Saturday. He could lose Saturday. But he'll be around for another decade.

One loss won't determine his fate.

Boxing is his whole life. He'll take off here and there. But he's already been THE world heavyweight champion. Only a handful ARE NOT in the Hall of Fame.

Fun fact is that he doesn't hold the Alabama KO in a row record, and is tied at the moment for wins in a row with the great Don "man of steel" Steele. If he loses to Fury he won't even take that.
Shows how much these records are actually worth.

I am not convinced that he will be around for another decade if he loses, especially if he loses spectacularly - not hating on the guy or anything, just the way he's come across so far has me feeling that he isn't interested if he can't be seen as the best
