We all know who to thank for. 10 years and 40 fights wasn't enough but one Tyson Fury was.

And the one boxer people around the globe know more than any other is Deontay Wilder. So says ESPN. And Wilder doesn't even fight for them.

Yep, more people saw Wilder bury Fury into the floor than actually watched their fight.

That list is total garbage, I mean they have Canelo below Joshua for ****s sake and were meant to believe Canelo is less well known than Wilder? Then you have Manny pacquiao below Wilder, Joshua and Canelo, really the guy was involved in the biggest fight in boxings history and he's not as famous as Wilder.

It's based on who fans are interested in now. I don't think Pacquiao's popularity has ever recovered from the Mayweather fight.

None of the fighters on the list box on ESPN, except for Fury.

Dude Pacquiao v Broner did more PPV Buys than Wilder v Fury.

Do you honestly believe fans are not interested in Canelo. The only guy to do over a mil ppv buys since Mayweather?

they are trying to hype a wilder-fury rematch. no way are those two clowns the biggest names in boxing. i can count one one hand the amount of people i know who know either guy. if they are the most known, just proves boxing is almost completely dead.

You telling me a Japanese figure skater is being searched more than Canelo? Nah this is just click bait from ESPN, nothing more.

There are just as many Japanese people in this world as there are Mexicans.

    Google Canelo 2019 = 15.7 mill hits

Google Yuzuru Hanyu 2019 = 2.02 mill hits

And yet Hanyu apparently searched for more in 2019 according to ESPN. Who did ESPN get to calculate the numbers for this list, I assume it was the judges for the Fury/Wilder fight, lol.

    BTW ...

    Wilder 2019 = 92.9 mill hits

    Joshua 2019 = 316 mill hits
