    Or, are YOU wrong?

Let's see ... is ESPN wrong about the Most Famous Athletes in All Sports. Or is "Kirk" on a message board who doesn't like Wilder?

    Hmmm. That's a tough one.

Deontay Wilder is THE MOST FAMOUS BOXER IN THE WORLD in 2019.

Just let that soak in. It's tough being on the wrong side of history. Time to step into the light, Kirk. Don't ignore facts.

Nobody believes it apart from deluded Wilder fans. It's all based on "Google Trends" anyway, which is a load of old bull. Who the hell trusts anything that Google says anyway? They just got fined $1.5bn by the EU for advertising violations.

Nobody seems to be questioning the list but guys who hate Wilder.

    (LOL)

I don't see anyone anywhere bashing ESPN's list. They put them out every year. There are 100 names on there. You only seem to have a problem with ONE.

That's says more about you than the list.

You're on the wrong side of history.

People are beating you over the head with facts. You just refuse. It's your stubborn, misguided, ignorant pride.

Wilders one of my favorite fighters... wtf are you talking about

It doesnt take a hater to know that Wilder is not more known or liked than Canelo or Pac in this country.

    Absurd lol.

PPV buys? Canelo and its not even close.
Social Media? Pac and Canelo and its not even close.
Talk to the average person you know... Pac and its not even close.

Oh oh... but I know I know... Wilders got a youtube video that had a lot of views lol...

    Brilliant.

It's a global list. Not a U.S. list. Most people around the globe don't give two squats about CANELO.

Heavyweight champions are more famous most places. That's why the three guys with claims to heavyweight titles are the top three boxers, in terms of fame.

Canelo vs Golovkin : 1,000,000 buys
    Wilder vs Fury : 350,000

    Canelo twitter : 1,300,000
    Wilder twitter : 428,000

No... its not just 'Kirk' on a mesage board that knows Wilder isnt more famous than Canelo.

Then again ya Wilders got that one YouTube video.

IT"S NOT A US LIST, KIRK.

Why are you typing US PPV totals, KIRK?

Do you know what GLOBAL means, KIRK?

For example, I downloaded a TURKISH TV app a few months ago. The night of Wilder-Fury, TURKISH TV channel DMAX aired the Wilder-Fury fight. Free.

Guess what Turkish TV didn't air live? Canelo-Rocky Fielding. Guess what fight they aren't going to air? Canelo-Jacobs.

Other countries carry PBC fights ... on FREE TV. All over the world.

They don't carry DAZN fights on free TV. They didn't carry fights on HBO PPVs, necessarily.

Don't shortchange the REACH of people globally who are seeing guys like Wilder and Spence and those guys fight.

You've listened to too many Joshua fans.

If you have a Smart TV or a Roku or something like that, download some TV apps from countries around the globe. You'll obviously be surprised what fights they are televising LIVE and what fights they aren't.

There's no way Griezmann is more famous than Serena Williams, globally.

There's no way Kei Nikishori is more famous than Colin Kaepernick, globally.

    This list is horsesh!t.

That list is hilarious. I bet I can't find 2 people in my entire gym who know who Deontay Wilder is. A virtual unknown to the general public. Canelo Alvarez is 10 times more famous in America than Deontay. And, even more internationally. You don't see Deontay getting endorsement deals. (Although, that may be due to the fact that Deontay is undoubtedly too stupid to read a cue card).

He's not only the MOST FAMOUS BOXER in the WORLD right now, he's the MOST FAMOUS BOXER from the United States.

So you'd be wrong on every count.

Wilder sticks out like a sore thumb. Endorsement deals and social media followers (by their own measure) are vastly lower than the likes of Canelo, Pac and AJ. Social media is global, no?

It's nothing to do with pride and evrything to do with facts.

It has everything to do with who is watching him fight. All over the world. Never in a boring fight. Knocks down or knocks out everyone.

All the people on here complaining about nobody knowing who Wilder is -- and who insist the leading sports entity in the U.S. saying he is the most famous boxer in the world is wrong for acknowledging him - will turn on their televisions in May and watch him fight live.

Because his fights are televised all over the world, and have been for years, and you didn't have to pay to watch any of them but the last one against Fury -- and even that aired live in many countries for free.

You can't quit talking about him, while insisting nobody knows him.

And then when the leading sports entity in the US acknowledges him, you say they're wrong.

And you say nobody is watching him, but fans all over the world are watching him, and you will, too.

    You're idiots, basically.

You clearly don't understand the method they're using to measure "fame". It all revolves around the most searched moment, not on popularity or how many people watch his fights.

Only a fool would blindly accept this list as de facto without actually questioning its validity.
