The idea that Wilder is more famous than Manny Pacquiao on a global scale is equally laughable.

For the hell of it I checked worldwide Google Trends for the three and Wilder was, predictably, last.

Youre either in some severe levels of willful delusion due to some sort of attachment to Wilder that is making you irrational, or you work for PBC.

Common sense aside (which senses this list is obvious junk)... but instead, going by almost every objective, verifiable metric, that helps determine and reveal an individual's fame and popularity, people can go check themselves, and Wilder trails in those metrics.

But yes... those individual metrics are all wrong, and some list... based on... something... is obviously infallible.

This is based on Google Trends.

Which ironically if you go to Google Trends itself and put Wilder and Joshua into the search, choose worldwide and hit 'include low volume search regions' you'll notice someone like Joshua has more searches worldwide than Wilder.

    For instance: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?hl=en-GB&tz=0&q=/m/02rny4c,/m/0h7p34w&sni=3

Funnily enough if you stick all 5 boxers into Trends and include low volume again Canelo and Pacquiao dominate the ENTIRE American continent. Joshua owns Europe, the Middle East and most of Africa. Fury is Australia. Pacquiao gains SE Asia and Wilder gets a couple of countries in Africa that Joshua didn't keep a grasp on.

    https://trends.google.com/trends/ex.../m/065z6wp,/m/03pmbb,/m/03gvljl&hl=en-GB&tz=0

    Worlds most famous boxer??

One of their criterias is they factor in social media following. But they only choose the single most popular platform of that individual (instead of adding them all up)

So they have Wilder listed as 2.4 million social media following.

Where are they getting this from?

You could add all his facebook followers to his Instagram followers and it wouldnt reach 2.4 million.

His twitters not that high either.

So where is that metric score coming from?

@kirk It's his Instagram followers - 1.7 mil + his facebook likes 0.532 I guess ( If we accept that he is chasing 1.8 mil )

How am I being irrational by posting a RATING ESPN PUTS OUT EVERY YEAR?

Every person on the list was measured using the same criteria.

They post the list every year.

I'm posting results. You're doing a quick GOOGLE Search and then calling me delusional.

If Wilder's rating is wrong, everyone on the list's rating is wrong.

So take it up with ESPN.

Meanwhile, Wilder will step in the ring in May and more people around the globe will watch his fight than any other boxer who appears on the list.

Hell, Wilder will likely outdraw Joshua in the UK in terms of viewers next time out.

    Does ITV post ratings?

if that were true, he would have a fan base here, and would have good PPV numbers. He has neither. But for Tyson Fury, he would not even come close to warranting a PPV fight at all.

Even then that number wouldn't make sense.

Unless hes got a youtube channel that has that many subscribers, which I highly doubt.

But if talking a generic sense of youtube views... that wouldnt be accurate either. His numbers (and most everyone measured) would be higher than the number they give if talking just video clicks.

But if its his own channel (i couldnt find one for him) then that would make sense. I couldnt find one tho and I would highly doubt hes got two million subs if he does have one.

    Hilarious.

Talk about throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

You guys are clinically ill. You've bashed Wilder to the point that no possible scenario that contradicts what you've been regurgitating could ever be right.

Enjoy the Wilder fight. I know you'll be watching, just like you always do.

Then come back and tell me nobody watched it, while we all discuss it in detail.
