Unless Wilder has become a shot fighter during his layoff I think he decapitates Whyte - Slow, flat footed and easy to hit fighters are made to order for a puncher like Wilder.

I see a 2 round fight max, both can crack but I’d pick wilder to land first

If 40 years 11 months old legless shadow from over the hill Povetkin's ghost finished him, no doubts that Wilder does have chances.
He isn't old and legless ghost and does have better reach than Povetkin.

He needs to make this fight happen. Big enough name, slower fighter, has been KOd, etc. great stay busy fight to show Wilder still has the desire and ability to beat HWs and deserves a shot at the crown. If he loses, he’s done and there is a good chance he loses. I don’t see this fight happening but you never know. It would be a strong statement from Wilder that he’s back and serious about taking back his belt soon. No way this fight happens.

Better this than that ridiculous stiff Deontay is eyeing. But Ruiz best of all for him now imo.

Wilder's not going to fight Whyte, Whyte is hard puncher for starters. Wilder will continue to avoid Whyte and fight someone like Bogdan Dinu or Charles Negron. Best we can hope for is Chalres Martin.

Whyte would be Wilder's best win and it's not close. Think about that for a second.
