This is spot on .Whyte is a big slow British level lump. Will be short and brutal. Whyte should stay well away !
If they get up close and slug it out, there is a big chance that Dillian KOs Wilder with a big left hook. Aside from that inch perfect KO punch by Povetkin (who had great ring savvy and IQ), Dillian won every round they ever shared together. I can't see Wilder setting Whyte up like that again unless they had a huge ring and Wilder had all the space to run and throw sloppy punches before landing a sweet shot.
This. Wilder will only be removed from the bubble wrap to ko a mannequin. Then it's back in the egg box until sulaiman somehow makes him mandatory for winner of AJ vs Fury
This would be a very interesting bout. I see this a bit like Ortiz vs. Wilder, while Whyte is not as skilled as Ortiz, he is much more powerful. I think Wilder would find an opening and probably make Whyte drop. However, I don't think Whyte has ever been dropped by a straight right. It's always been an uppercut/hook and those punches are not Wilder's main strengths. I would pay to see this matchup.
I do not care nor about comments nor cards if eddie kid fights away corner kid, this kid needs to TKFO this A side kid. LOL at eddie.
If the fight got made, and I don't think it would. Wilder would find a home for his right hand and Whyte would get knocked out.
This fight would be won or lost on Whyte's jab. If he can get it going he can disrupt Wilder's rhythm and get him on the backfoot where he'll start to run out of ideas, after which Whyte can start landing more heavy shots that could do some damage. Trouble is Whyte has a habit of doing really stupid things in fights he's in control of and getting badly hurt as a result. It happened against Povetkin, Rivas, and Parker, and Wach, Chisora and Helenius managed to buzz him as well. Helenius and Wach managed to catch Whyte with straight rights I recall, so it's not just uppercuts and short shots that could hurt him. And while a Wilder on the backfoot tends to lose a lot of his effectiveness, he can still clip shorter fighters coming forward, the way he did Ortiz in their first fight. This isn't to say I don't rate Whyte as a fighter. I mean on paper he would be Wilder's best scalp if he took it, but I don't think he'd necessarily be his toughest fight. Everything would come down to how disciplined Whyte can keep himself, and how switched on and focussed he can be. If he can emulate something like the Duhaupas fight, plodding forward with a tight high guard and pumping out the jab, he could open up scoring opportunities from the mid rounds onwards. If he just rushes Wilder like Breazeale did and try to take him out early I think Wilder's superior speed and (I shudder to use this term) athleticism would see him landing the winning shot before Whyte does.
I'd heavily fancy Wilder. Wilder is obviously limited, but it takes skill to survive or evade his power shots. I'd only favour Fury, Joshua and Usyk to beat Wilder in the division. Even then it could go either way if Wilder lands.
I agree with Wilder. If Wilder is on form this could be a KO inside of 1-2 rounds. But then again, you never know. Dillian could go straight after him and KO him in 1-2 rounds as well.
