deontay wilder does not deserve a crack at the heavyweight title

Fury is more proven and if he gets by Chisora again he will be a mandatory. For a fighter who has not impressed me in the ring he does take on credible oppponents and has earned his shot. Wilder On the other hand has fought no one. Not saying he couldn't beat certain guys but his resume doesn't deserve a title fight. Strictly WBC making a popularity hype deciscion.

 

Agreed but what had Stiverne or Cris done to really justify this fight in the first place?

 

This is where Deontays assembly line of easy touches does more harm than good, he's going from the wading pool to the ocean as teddy atlas would put it

his last fight was a first round dive for gods sake (even charlie zelenoff thought this, then went on to prove it by actually taking better shots from wilder and staying conscious )

this has all been manufactured for Deontay to win the title, the problem is, even Arreola would put him to sleep, never mind Stiverne

 

His chin deserves to crack though.

Agreed. Tony Thompson deserves a shot a lot more than Wilder does.

 

I would agree if the likes of mormeck, leipia and. . .

 

He deserves nothing for the constant low quality opponents he's faced. He's stepped up facing Scott and Harrison but they are hardly top level and shouldn't get you a title shot for beating them. I wouldn't go as far as saying he needs 5 top 10 fighters but a couple top 20 would show he's more than a bum slayer. Stiverne will destroy him!

 

Tyson Fury deserves it a lot more.

 

Matter of fact, Gents, Deontay is a Heavyweight Mandatory for Stiverne whether you like it or you don't. Stiverne is nothing special either so I can well see it the changing of the guard for Wilder and believe me, he'll go right into the unification process. Fury fought well in the inside and finished Steve USS Cunnigham with uppercuts, what does that prove? Chisora is basically the guy who was robbed against Helenius and gave a good effort of himself against Vitaly and was bombed away by David Haye after some most disrespectful behaviour outside the ring. You're sayin that either Chisora or Fury or Tony Thompson who was exposed twice by Wladimir have the right to fight for the Heavyweight Championship b4 Deontay?

 

Who ever has fought 5 top10 fighters to earn a title shot? I'm pretty sure most got it earlier. That said, Wilder should fight at least one top10 figher before...
