Wilder rather fights Brezeale for a $1.5 million purse than Whyte for $4 million. Go figure.

Perhaps because he's the one who'll be paying Wilder's fee? I don't see anyone from Deontay's side willing to put the money up so they need to get real. He brings a belt he was handed and has had in protective custody ever since. He's seen as a fugazi by boxing fans and he's not going to change that image but making demands only to then baulk at the challenge presented when his bluff is called on them.

He doesn't really want the fight. He'll consider it for 20x his last purse but not a penny less.

They're just building this sh**t up.. They need to get attention.. Joshua did not get as much ratings as people thought in the US and we all know Wilder cant draw for sh**t... They need to build this up so they can make the money they need for all the money they will have to pay the fighters and the event.. The fight will happen unless one of these two gets KTFO soon which wouldnt surprise me at all.. fight will be huge in the UK though.. Only way it plays out sadly for Wilder.. Its all PR

    who? wilder or AJ?

i agree wilder is being managed to a huge pay day, and i dont think his team really believe in him, but matchroom with their cynical business model are clearly unaware of irony/have no self awareness. matchroom are dictating terms to others on the back of 80 thousand coked up bellends and a dodgy s*y contract.

Yes but the WBC (for Wilder) rules means Wilder doesn't have to face a mandatory until they can get Stiverne or someone as bad into the position...

How long did it take last time 2 years (and a couple of trumped up charges)..

Yep, for anyone who doesn't have an agenda it's pretty clear they are just building the fight. Neither side really wants it right now, both sides know the fight can be bigger down the line. Only fan boys and haters are really thinking one is ducking the other at the moment.

Yes, I’m sure Hearn is being completely forthcoming here.

What terms did he offer for the AJ fight if Wilder beats Whyte? Is that why it was turned down?

Nah he wasn't handed anything, that's a BS comment, he won it in the ring. You don't have to love the guy but there is no reason to be dishonest.

Joshua was handed one but had to walk through the fire against ageing ATG so has somewhat earned the right to be a title holder. Deontay on the other hand....

And you can slate Joshua's fan base and Sky but it generates the money here. Money talks.
