Well, you're not allowed to say it. Ever. :yep Everyone else should hold their fire - the vast majority of fighters have taken a bad knockdown sometime in their careers.
..without seeing the video it's hard to say what happened. Did he get caught because he was wild after KD the guy twice? Was he KD got his chin sucks? Was he KD well being pressured? Dunno.. none of you saw the fight.
Anytime a young boxing prospect gets knocked down or out there is cause for concern. However it dose not mean that their career is over. At this point in Deontay Wilder's career 13(13)-0-0. He should be fighting 6 & 8 round fights. If he has good management he should be top 10 at 20-0 and champion at 25-0.
And people were saying a couple weeks ago that he needed to be accelerated. No, he needs to keep fighting the guys he has been while he gets stronger and polishes technique. Most of his improvement will happen in the gym. We'll see about his chin, but people said the same thing about Andre Ward after he got knocked down early in his career, too. Hopefully, Deontay will learn from this and sharpen his fundamentals.
I agree, a spoiler with a decent punch like King is not the sort of person he should be jumping in with quite yet. Maybe after a couple more fights if they go well.
