No sir. This is who Wilder is facing next. Just the facts. It's a stay busy fight.
    Activity is needed.

    Activity?

Wilder will get more out of sparring than he will out of this "fight"

record padding at it's best, seriously how can you condone this?

Sparring is not a real fight. You and I both know this.
Every fighter in history has fought bad fighters. Now you can either fight them every 6 months and be inactive or fight one every month and stay active and sharp. I'd rather Wilder be sharp for that time a top guy is ready to make a fight with him. Sure I'd rather Wilder fight Boytsov or Povetkin but those guys are all booked up or not fighting at all.
Who is there for Deontay to fight? Kendrick Releford? Nagy Augulierra? Those guys are not good fighters either.
Even Tyson Fury recently fought an actual cab driver (Martin Rogan)

    What can a guy do?

Seriously, if I was a fan of Wilder, i'd be concerned, this does NOTHING for him, the risk is that fighting guys like this, he actually goes backwards.

I disagree. I dont think you can go backwards. You can only gain experience.
Like I said,it's either this or not fight at all. Activity is better.
And anyway,Boytsov is far worse. He was campaigning for a tittle shot recently against Vitali. He has been fighting for 8 years and hasn't fought anyone in the top 200 yet! Plus he is very very inactive. He doesn't even care.
Wilder cares and is in good hands. Mark Breland is teaching him.

  10. Yeah to be honest most of these guys are moving at snails pace its annoying for those of us who want to see good heavyweight match ups

I think what he means is that a fighter can develop really bad habits by fighting opponents who are overmatched to this degree...especially when the fighter is aiming at a title in the next couple years. How does this fight prepare him for any of the top HW contenders(or even top 20 HWs for the matter)? His team must know something that we don't...

Damon McCreary was a Lt Heavy in 2007. then he took three years off, and returned to the ring about 50 lbs over his old weight !

I'm not giving up on the Wildman, but right now I'm finding it very hard to be a Wilder supporter.

    He's 39.

    Tyson was only 5'11"

Phill, I realize that strong, talented black men make your brain explode, but please TRY to keep it together, man.

(McCreary is still a joke, though.)

Wilder can't win, if he goes slow - he gets bagged.
If he goes quick and challenges Wlad, he gets smashed by inexperience
and then gets bagged for stepping up too soon.

Good on him for going slow I say, Im sick to death of the Klits padding their
    records against inexperienced, undefeated boxers.
