Deontay wants top names...why is that funny? Even if he wants em for the payday, he still wants top names.

Chagaev or Arreola would both be given a run for their money.:deal:hi:

I'd like to hear from GBP.

They're the one's "promoting" him. WTF are they doing? What's the explanation?

They seem to be both asleep at the wheel, and completely silent about the whole situation.

Wilder doesn't have any business fighting top names yet. Nobody is asking for him to fight the top names. What he needs to do is fight some guys who aren't complete ****.

Forget about Tyson Fury for the moment. I'd be satisfied if Wilder were fighting Tye Fields, or Mo Harris, or old Monte Barrett. Those are the guys he should be fighting. Not top names, but not helpless fat middleweights or bums who topple over at a breeze either.

First, the whole "Wilder has a glass jaw" thing is absurd. Embarrassingly (for you) ridiculous, and 95 of ESB-ers know this.

Second, if a fighter WAS being protected from a glass jaw, the following fighters are not the ones you'd face.
Bums? Sure. - but all of these guys could really bang:

    Kertson Manswell 22 (KO 17) - 5

    Jesse Oltmanns 10 (KO 7) - 2

    David Long 11 (KO 7) -1 -2

    Daniel Cota 17 (KO 10) -3 -1

    DeAndrey Abron 15 (KO 10) - 6

    Shannon Caudle 9 (KO 8) -0 -1

    Ty Cobb 7 (KO 6) -1

    Jerry Vaughn 2 ( (KO 2) -0 -1

Arreola has been coming in ok...and Chagaev is still a top name in the division..

the division is weak man..I know..those are top names though wether you like it or not. I believe Chagaev is still ranked top 10 by ring

Don't expect anything more than this until his handlers are ready to cash out with a title shot. They know Wilder has a glass jaw and any decent fighter would shatter it. That's why he fights nothing but bums.

People can bag Wilder all they want but he gets a call and says 'You ready and want to fight in 8 days' he says Yes and then gets bagged.

You can name all the names you want, but I am sure 98% of them would then get the same call 'You ready to fight Wilder in 8 days' and be pretty dam quiet.

Then say they do say yes to fighting him, you have to sort money, promoters, managers etc. People need to stop kidding themseleves if they think in the world of boxing all it need is two fighters to say 'Yes'.

Hoping Wilder can fight DeMori next. The offers are with his management, both fighters are keen and atleast DeMori will make it an exciting fight.

Good post. When Wlad had his 25th fight he lost to Puritty and than went back to the drawing board against lower level guys until stepping up against a mid level Axel Schultz in his 30th fight. I didn't hear anyone complaining about that, so why the double standard? It isn't like this kid is oozing experience either. He's got a total of seven years experience, three as an amateur and 4 as a pro. It's not like he fought hundreds of times in the ams since he was a kid.

Malik is stepping up in his next fight, fighting Bowie Tupou in a 10 rounder and stealing the show on the Ward v Dawson card.
As for Wilder, he continues to embarrass himself while other prospects make progress.

I'm pretty sure I read a post of yours about a year back that said almost exactly the same thing. That last, lingering shred of hope sure is strong huh?
