    He fights Travis Allen (3-4 3 KO's). Don't blink.

Deontay is a great father and a dedicated man. I wish him the best.

It sounds like just a coincidence with the same name of Travis Walker, it should be another easy fight for Wilder, Wilder won't be fighting the best Travis Walker until later down the road.

It's still early in Deontay's career so we won't really know what he's got for quite some time. That being said, here's hoping that he does well. I'm all for an American heavyweight doing well.

I've read a lot of good things about him and hope he becomes a player in the HW mix, but I took a look at his web site and it's real slick PR stuff, a bit Audley H like. I hope he doesn't concentrate on marketing for 3 years while fighting easy to beat opponents.

Tyson Fury has a big mouth but I kind of like him despite that coz he's fighting often and fighting decent opposition.

Audley had a lot more to live up to considering that he was a gold medalist and he was already talking about timetable he had for winning the British and Commonwealth titles among other things, insulting experienced guys like Danny Williams in the process. Williams derailed him, Guinn set him back further, and Sprott basically finished the job. The Rogan loss was like icing on the cake for his critics being that Martin was once a cab driver and Audley a decorated amateur. I haven't checked out Deontay's website yet but there's nothing wrong with him playing to the fact that he was the only medalist USA Boxing had last year in Beijing. You gotta have some type of starting point from which to market a guy.

His site is at ... http://www.deontaywilder.net/ and I just checked it out because I had read so many people saying he has a lot of potential. I was in Sydney during the 2000 Olympics and became interested in Harrison's progress after that but like everyone else got annoyed by the 'marketing first' approach he seemed to be running with. Povetkin is my favourite HW and I was really impressed by the path he's taken as a pro. However, Deontay Wilder seems to have limited am. experience and it's understandable that he'll take his time moving up the level of his comp. He seems to have quite a few fights scheduled too.

I wish him luck and from all reports he seems like a HW to watch. I just thought his web site reminded me of Audley's a little, but have a glance at it and make your own mind up. No big deal if he making good progress in the division.
