Lucas matthaysse knocks out his last couple of opponents and all of a sudden he's the terminator, wilder takes an awkward spill vs a tomatoe can and now his jaw is made of wet lamb ****.... Now that might just be a rumor, but CHEF has confirmed that Wilder was rocked again and again against Wlad in sparring. And why do you think his management only match him against complete stiffs?

 

Even if everything you mentioned was true how do we all of a sudden label someone as a glass jawed hype job prior to their first professional defeat? I remember seeing Paulie getting rocked all the time during sparring sessions and he turned out to be pretty resilient in the pro ranks and at the same time watching Berto and stark run through guys like they where nothing but look at how their chins have let them down.

 

I've seen it and to be honest its more hyperbole and nothing of real substance, again I'm not claiming wilder is the next coming I just feel all the hype and all the hate is way to premature.

 

I have provided arguments to why there is evidence to suggest he has a glass jaw, you haven't provided anything to suggest otherwise. And there's no convivable evidence to support that notion, seeing as he only fights complete stiffs.

Wilder should be fighting the likes of Thompson at this stage of his career, but Wilder avoids him like the plague. Also, if there's reason to believe Wilder is not a glass jawed hype job, why is he sparring Wladimir, Haye and other world class opponents, but only gets into the ring with cabdrivers and Audley Harrison?

Wilder has to prove his worth against solid opposition in the ring, so far he hasn't even been close. And even against complete bums he has looked sloppy and vulnerable.
