Question is will he have that same determination when in a tough fight with somebody he doesn't hate like Fury.

You can never question his heart or will after this fight, but his preparation leaves a lot to be desired. He was gassed and blown up before the fight even started.

This fight just further highlights joshuas lack of heart and balls. I still want to see wilder vs joshua. Usyk and fury comfortably the best heavyweights.

    Usyk vs fury
    Joshua vs wilder
    Next please.

It’s crazy how he may be the most unskilled hw champ we’ve seen, but I don’t think anyone will give Fury a run for his money like that for a while

I don't feel compelled to give him anything until he rolls back the unfounded accusations and gives Fury the respect he deserves. That was one of the most satisfying KOs I've ever witnessed - purely for what a disrespectful idiot he's been - and I'm going to revel in it for a long time yet.

Given Wilder's fatally flawed character, I suspect he won't ever put his hands up and say 'I lost to the better man', so I'm happy to just enjoy his sweet, sweet defeat for years to come (up there with AB-Maidana for satisfying beatdowns).

I doubt it was poor preparation. Some guys just don't have the greatest stamina no matter what they do. He also swings for the fences and depletes it.

Yes but still no brain. At some point tonight, he had to realize:

    A) He was an idiot for the accusations against Fury
    B) Coming in at 238 was the last thing in the world he wanted to do
    C) He had a whole career to prepare for this kind of challenge and pissed it away after falling in love with his own right hand.

I give him mad respect for being tough, but man, use your head too.

He has a big heart but if Fury wasn't so terribly sloppy and actually gave himself room and leverage to punch and could put concussive combinations together or pick his shots better that fight doesn't go past 4 rounds. Imagine that was a younger Povetkin or an AJ in there with someone in that state blowing out of their ass after 3 rounds. It would've been a clean clinical KO. Usyk would've ended that much sooner via clean KO too. It was very exciting edge of your seat stuff but Fury was so sloppy tonight.

I just think Deontay was dealing with a lot of stress leading up to the ring walk. The commentators said that Wilder was unhappy with the the gloves he was given and ended up switching gloves which delayed the main event. Then after all that stress, he puts on another heavy entrance costume. By the time he made it to the ring, he was exhausted from all the pre-fight stress. Wilder could barely stand after a couple of rounds, every time Fury leaned on him he took a knee. His legs were gone, he went 11 rounds out of sheer will and determination.
