"My mind is very violent," he said. "We built a whole facility to commit a legal homicide and that's just what it is, my mind is very violent at this time. "The only thing about it is, at that point in time, I have to wait until I get in the ring to really release because I can't do it on the outside, it'd defeat the purpose. "The baby's got to eat, but when I do get in the ring, this is what I love about it, I'm able to release everything I've been feeling, everything I've been thinking, and get paid to do it." strong words from the bronze bomber
Strong stupid words.... he really thinks he’s anointed by God with this holy power lol as soon as he started saying he’s blessing people by giving them the opportunity to fight him and get paid it was only a matter of time. His ego and mental state are very fragile.
Imagine if this Wilder lose even faster than first time ? I would be very worry, if I has his family member.
Wilder needs to grow up. Does he have any children? God help them if this is the halfwit nonsense their dad comes up with.
Wilder keeping it classy as always, lol. Didn't he say something similar before fighting Fury last time? His act is getting old and stale. Everyone knows he's going to get thrashed again.
Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. Not the first time he's made these sorts of comments, either. Yes it's a fighting sport but wishing genuine harm or death on an opponent has no place in boxing, fullstop.
Deontay Wilder gets his ass whooped again and mentally breaks mid fight. He fights Fury after the bell and gets disqualified. Something tells me a scenario like that isn't as far fetched anymore
The ony thing I worry about for the rematch is Fury's motivation. This sort of garbage coming from Wilder only serves to stoke the fire under Fury's ass. It's exactly the wrong way to go about it. The great Fedor Emelianenko was the embodiment of the (imho) correct way to approach an opponent out of the ring. He'd never say bad things about the guy, nor give encouraging compliments. He'd say that he was thankful to have the opportunity to measure his skills against the guy. He wouldn't try to intimidate the other guy; he wouldn't even look into his eyes. Nothing to motivate the other guy in any way. He'd present a blank. Right up to the moment they touched gloves ...
Ever since this fight was announced i was thinking it would end in DQ let me ask a question if i bet on it ending in DQ and wilder pops dirty after the fight would that count as a dq?
Depending on what side of the fence you stand on, his words can be interpreted as uncouth and classless. I'm not a fan of the speech, but I won't define the dude based on his overly passionate, borderline sadistic language. People spend too much time attempting to villainize Wilder when we should appreciate having these characters in the sport. In all my years boxing and watching boxing Ive never had or expressed the level of disdain that I see you boys have for other fighters. Social media develops a life of it's own for those who frequent themselves in the abyss of the worldwide web. We will never get the opportunity to know these fighters for who they truly are. We can only fabricate a mold of who we think they are based on the cumulative info absorbed through media outlets. Damn shame.
