Deontay Wilder: I could legally kill Tyson Fury

I have no qualms with your thoughts here, your post is incredibly spot on. My moral compass isn't as stringent and well-defined as it used to be. Having said that, I cant allow myself to be sucked into this impractical fantasy of desiring or only accepting unbroken people in my circle.

Wilder's rants derive from a visceral place within his conscious. I don't condone his words but they are organic and unscripted. He's not eloquent and I don't expect him to be. When glib egocentric characters like Fury flood social media with nonsense we praise his delivery and insulting undertone.

Expression is an inherit freedom and everyone delivers it differently. If playing the role of a psychopath provides Wilder with the muse he needs to overcome the skill handicap then so be it. As you stated in your last paragraph, he's not this wicked character some have made him to be. It's easy to notice flaws, create stories about people with sparse data and fashion stereotypes that confirm our own existing beliefs. It's difficult to gather granular details, look at people as a sum of their many complicated parts because we simply can't gather every social determinate that has built their foundation. Ok, enough of the cognitive talk and back to boxing lol.

 

That's not what I was saying at all. Wilder fans are the ones crying about glovegate and countless other ******ed conspiracies that have no basis in reality. Not to mention they're mostly black supremacists who believe in "afrocentric" history (a.k.a. made up history). If they aren't stupid for that, then no one is stupid. Btw I like Algieri, he's a cool guy and quite a smart one like you said. Not much to dislike about him as a person. Not the best style for KOs or such, but he went to war a good few times and I can credit him for that.

Well after Wilder eliminated any of his sane fans with his post Fury beating antics, yeah all that remains are the dumbest of dumb.

 

What? I'm just giving you a reason why they're stupid, I don't have a bone to pick with black people in general. I just despise racists, and Wilder's hardcore fanbase is largely that. I'd think Fury fans claiming white men are superior for this and that reason are thick as a plank too.
It's also well known how often "afrocentric" history has been outright fabricated. It contains a lot of butthurtedness over colonialism, which people should get over. I'm from Ireland, a country that was a colony for many centuries longer than any African nation. Irish people don't tend to act like they're massive victims and have gotten on with things, now we're quite successful. Better to have an attitude of getting on with it rather than moping about the unfairness of the past in which most people were living terribly

 

It's just so childish - almost every debate on this sub forum descends into which fighters are 'scared' of which or who is 'ducking' who.

 

So I bet you believe in that nonsense. History is one of my favourite topics, so to claim I'm ignorant because I don't believe in bunk history is just hilarious. I'm not saying all afrocentric history is false, as Africa does genuinely have a very rich history. I'm more referring to the part that claims every great invention was created by a black man who had the credit stolen from him by someone of a different ethnicity, it's really just creating false historical narratives to drum up hatred for other people.

 

This whole subject is a scary proposition, trust me I'm always up for a good debate/conversation but we will be banned if we continue down this road. I agree both fan bases have a false sense of superiority and the results of a boxing match have no impact whatsoever on how our human society should be stratfied.

 

Well I don't come at the topic with a racist lens, so I'm not afraid of discussing it. I'm all for people having their own views, but the internet has proliferated a lot of false history created by racists. I've seen so many stupid anti-Semitic narratives from people of all groups, I've seen lots of anti-white narratives and some pro-white narratives. I've basically seen so many people bull**** their own renditions of "history" to support their own racist views and I have no time for it. For some reason it's actually common enough in boxing fan circles and it's quite annoying. Wilder fans are some of the worst perpetrators, some Fury fans can be right shits too.

 

Bunk history? No I don't believe in nonsense and history is something I do as a profession because it plays a large role in how I develop reimbursements for medical services as an actuary and negotiator. I rather we not talk about what you think is bunk history, keep your beliefs.

 

Historical revisionism will always be controversial, it requires endless amounts of scholarly sanction and approved write ups. I mention this because I don't put faith in self-serving personal accounts of salient historical events. It's only natural for folks to twist history in order to put their group on a pedestal. Boxing is a perfect place to twist truths as well because of it's intimate nature and parallels to nationalistic pride. Don't let the tribalism skew your thoughts, not all Wilder fans believe in that drivel.

 

Fury could literally kill wilder via mass dents in the head and he'd come back saying the coffin is too heavy I want a rematch.

 

So, what you are saying is the fact he has a disabled daughter means you will overlook the most abhorrent, degenerate behaviour?

I believe that his attitude to "legally killing" someone in the ring is disgusting.

If you see no issue with that, then I'm afraid that's up to you.

Ireland suffered colonisation, indentured servitude, famine, pestilence, mass emigration, then the Troubles, and they rarely, if ever, complain about it or use it to excuse failure or incompetence.
They just get on with it and have a stoicism which means they tend to refuse to indulge in self pity or opportunism.
